It was with this adventurous and tight-knit family of five by the shore in Rhode Island on an unseasonably warm and sunny day in December that gave me vision for 2020. These three girls instantly reminded me of my own family, also a family of 3 girls. I’m the middle child in my family and was twinning in black overalls with Jen’s middle daughter. We were both floored!
These girls were the sweetest, lively and lovely. It was an honor to capture their strong connection, their love and their free spirited nature.
This shoot reminds me of why I love photographing outdoors in magical light. It highlights the best parts of having a family. The adventure, the love, the curiosity and excitement. The beach brings out so much joy and curiosity in the little ones and I want to be there to capture it all. Whether it’s the littlest drawing with a big stick in the sand or the older ones racing. Whether it’s twirling, chasing, or climbing to higher heights, I want to be there to capture your family, their story, in its truest form surrounded by magical sunlight and in the most beautiful setting.
