We were all marching the Brooklyn Promenade, hands in the air, jazz music filling the streets as we danced in a wedding march led by Laura + Adam. There must have been at least 75 of Laura + Adam’s friends and family following behind the bride + groom as they marched in celebration of their marriage on this warm and overcast day in May as we overlooked the Manhattan skyline. The usually unfazed New Yorkers were cheering from their windows and waving. By the end, my face hurt from smiling and my legs were exhausted from running to capture this beautiful march of love.
While this was one of my favorite moments from the day, it was without a doubt not the last. Lavender was generously thrown on the bride + groom as they exited the church, Adam surprised Laura with a vespa ride to their reception after the march, and we stepped outside for “sunset” pictures in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park but were met with misty air, an empty park and the most gentle raindrops. In my opinion, it was more romantic than any sunset would have been.
So here on my teeny tiny space of the web, I’ve focused on my favorite moments of the day. And since Laura + Adam are incredibly kind people who spread their love and laughter to all of their friends and family, there are lots of them.
Laura + Adam, your love is beautiful and I’m so grateful to have been there to capture it.
An enormous thank you to my second shooter, Allison Sullivan, and to my assistant/onsite stylist, Little Red’s Well!
